Previsioni Vento Punta Trettu
Punta Trettu works mainly with Mistral (NO) and Scirocco (SE), which are the predominant winds of the season. Thanks to the morphological conformation of the bay and the Punta exposed on three sides, the wind is perfectly channelled into the lagoon, enters increasing in intensity and always remains tense and never gusty due to the lack of obstacles.
The Mistral is the main wind during spring and summer. On particularly clear and cloudless days, due to the thermal effect, the Mistral comes in up to 5/6 knots stronger than Windguru, Windfinder or Windy forecasts.
The Sirocco, on the other hand, is the main wind during the months of September and October and also benefits from the thermal effect, always increasing slightly compared to the wind forecast on clear days.
The Levante enters the bay quite well, and perhaps Punta Trettu is the only spot in south-western Sardinia that works well with all winds from the east.
Libeccio and Ponente enter well, sporadically during the spring.
The Tramontana blows often during the winter, even reaching 45/50 knots.

I was at prokite just for one day but it was worth it. The conditions were ideal so I decided to do 2+2h of private... lessons to improve with upwind. Punta Trettu is an amazing spot to learn kite. I did the first lesson with Emiliano and the second one with Fabio. I liked both their way of teaching and I had a lot of fun. Giacomo was very kind in organizing the lessons. I hope to come back to this spot and school one day.read more

ProKite is a great school on a great spot, especially for beginners.The communication in advance with Giacomo via... Whatsapp made things easier.I had the teacher Dom (Dominique) who tried very hard and has it all. merci beaucoup, Dom.With the camper you could stand right next to the school and use the showers, you could also get water.Unfortunately there is no toilet.read more

Arianna, the multilingual receptionist, will be the first person to greet you with a friendly smile. She can answer all your questions.Giacomo, the owner, is super responsive with communication and making sure you have a positive experience during your time with Prokite.Domi, Emi, Gabi and Kris are well experienced and safe instructors. I was lucky enough to have Dominique as my coach. His knowledge and personality created a wonderful kiting experience for myself. The lagoon is shallow which means it's a great place to learn and improve.I spent 2 months here this summer in Punta Trettu and I already miss my Prokite family. I'm looking foward to joining them again next summer.If you like music, ice cream and adult benerages with an amazing view...Prokite.... We had a great experience with ProKite Sardegna. We booked lessons and the first day the wind died and they were... flexible enough to shift our lessons to th next day. Really easy to communicate with Giacomo and the instructors. Their instructors speak different languages other than Italian (English, French, German, Spanish). Equipment is from Duotone and quite new.We were very happy with the spot, shallow all the way and perfect to progress on any skill level.read more

10/10We came to Punta Trettu for the best kite surf spot on Sardinia and found Prokite sardegna. It was recommended... by another kitesurfer we met elsewhere on the island and it was better than expected. They are very friendly people, it has a great atmosphere, and the location has a great view.Giacomo and the team of instructors - among other, Chris, Gabrielle, and Domenique - did their utmost best to adhere to accommodate us in our short time at Punta Trettu. Although the wind is great at the location, I would advice to stay 4/5 days to make the most out of it. Especially in August, wind could be a little weak at times.As a beginner, my goal was to be able to stand on the board and get going. In approximately 2 days I managed to do so. Chris, a dedicated and experienced instructor taught me the ins and outs. The instructions were clear, and he explained the techniques calm and concise. We moved at the right pace for me to get on the board and do some small transitions. Being able to get where I got was in part thanks to Chris as he explained and showed me the nuances of how to keep my stability while keeping the kite under control. Great motivation to keep going🔥👌🏻If you are a beginner, would like a refresher, or want to advance your techniques, they have the guys to get you going. Their kites are really good and all functions great.I highly recommend this place. The lessons were definitely worth the price.Thanks guys, I’ll be back!read more

I've tried many kite schools and kite spots around the globe over the years, and I can say with some confidence that... ProKite is one of a kind. I made so much more progress in just two sessions of a beginner/intermediate course with ProKite's instructors than I ever expected to, which is a testament to how well they teach. What stood out to me is they did it with a focus on safety, while making it fun and lighthearted. I learnt so much and gained heaps of confidence.Giacomo is super organised and responsive with scheduling lessons which means that you don't have to wait all day at the spot for your turn - but I recommend that you do because everyone at the school is so warm and friendly, both the staff and the students they attract. I had a great time off the water, meeting people at the school. As a solo traveller, that's always a bonus!The spot is obviously fantastic too with its warm water (at least in August!) and shallow enough water to always be able to walk back.Thank you Giacomo and team! My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer. I'll make sure to come back. 🙂read more

My husband and I were in Italy for our holiday and we decided to take kitesurfing classes with ProKite in Sardegna. We... were beginners and had to learn from scratch, but the instructors had great communication and were very experienced, so we were able to pick it up very quickly, and they definitely always made sure that safety comes first. The kites were new and we were provided with all the equipment including the wetsuit for the lessons, we just had to bring ourselves to the school in our swim attire and flip flops. There was a radio on the helmet which allows them to communicate when we’re practicing so you can progress and make adjustments as you practice and it was really helpful in the lessons. We took a 3-day class and wished we had planned to spend more days in Sardinia to continue learning. Thank you to Giacomo, Gabriel and Dominic for providing such a fun and unforgettable experience! We highly recommend choosing ProKite if you want to learn kitesurfing in Sardegna!read more

The location at Punta Trettu is incredible: rock solid winds and flat shallow water make for... perfect conditions for both learners and experts looking to hone their skills.The instructors were great as well; I wish I had a good memory for names, because I'd call mine out by name. He got both me and my friend Joe up onto the board in one afternoon with only one previous lesson each to learn to handle the kite.Highly recommended.read more

I came to re-try kiteboarding after a 7-year break (I remained complete beginner). This time we had with us our 8 year... old son that wanted to try kiteboarding as well. His english is quite ok, but still, he is only 8.In Prokite we took lessons with Philippe and Irene. They were amazing! The explanation that each of us got, was great, we both progressed quickly. The equipment used was in good condition. The radio connection to the helmets is well understood and works well, so you really hear the instructor properly.The most important thing that I want to emphasize is that the team truely adopts to everyones needs, is professional and motivated. We really felt special -as observed, so did other guests, we were not just "numbers".Punta trettu itself is a lagoon with shallow water and quite a lot of sea grass. Great for kiting but swimming there is not the best. Therefore it is of a great value hat the Prokite "headquarters" has a great and shady lounge with wind breeze and a good view, hanging nets, couches, where they serve good coffee, cold drinks, icecream and easy snacks for the "waiting". Provisiory shower is also available.On the last evening of our stay Philippe has made a guitar concert night. Honestly, what a great surprise!!! This was one of the nicest evenings in our soon ending holiday.Thank you ProKite. We loved Sardinia and we loved Prokite!read more

Went to ProkiteSardegna for kite lessons in July 2022. The initial contact was with Giacomo per email, which was... already very helpful guiding us in the right direction for which lessons would suit us best.We were a group of 6 people (11 to 43yrs) and throughout our stay were very unlucky with the wind conditions but nevertheless Giacomo accommodated all our wishes for lessons.All of us had a great teaching experience with Giacomo, Max, Philip and Chris. It was very motivating for the youngsters to get on the water pretty much straight away and all of us reached the intermediate level within five double lessons which is a great basis for future development.Punta Trettu, the spot, is amazing for all skills of riders. Its a lagoon and water is usually flat. Very nice beach location of the kite school to hang out when there is no wind.read more

Spent 3 days here doing lessons with Irene in early July. I'm just a beginner to intermediate kiter but made incredible... progress at this school thanks to excellent instruction. The teachers are friendly, patient and non-judgemental. A great instructor makes all the difference in the world! I would definitely recommend ProKite Sardegna, they are professional, well organised, the communication is clear, it's... a nice relaxed atmosphere and the lessons were great.My lessons were with Irene and she was fantastic! She was patient, gave clear instructions, she would give me one thing to focus on and then when I got it, moved on to the next thing so I was progressing but not being overwhelmed with information. She made sure I always got the most out of my lessons, was friendly and funny too! I can really see the difference in my ability and confidence from these lessons, so I'm very happy!The location is also great, flat and a big area so even when it's busy there is enough space.There is nothing I can think of to make it any better.Thank you ProKite Sardegna!read more

I was a bloody beginner and thanks to the instructor Philip I understood very quickly. Of course - there is still a... long way to go in mastering this sport, but I can't imagine a better place or school for it! Everything is well organized, agreements are kept, learning is fun and the timing was always perfect! It seems that Giacomo has a direct line to the wind! Great school. Had a very positive experience. Spent a week and had lessons every day. The location is perfect with good... winds and flat water. Instructors super friendly and very knowledgeable and patient. They give instructions with walkie talkies which is super useful. Was given the right size kite for the difference wind conditions every day. Left having made many new friends !read more
